The Academy began in 2002, and became a Registered Training Organisation in 2003 (RTO #21399). We are one of Australia’s oldest and well-known makeup Academies.
The Academy of Makeup solely teaches the craft of makeup. We have a solid and strong team of dedicated, talented and renowned Makeup Artists working with us and WE LOVE MAKEUP!
We believe that if you want to become the best, you should study at a school that specialises in the craft that you want to learn. The conglomerates might know how to teach…but they might not know how to teach makeup… At the Academy of Makeup, we know makeup and we know how to teach makeup – just take a look at out Gallery Page, to see how amazing our student work is.

Our trainers are fully qualified in all areas of makeup, and each specialise in their chosen fields, which is why we believe that having a different trainer for specialised topics will give our students an overall advantage when learning industry tricks and techniques.
