It’s a nationally recognised qualification that teaches real-world creative and media skills, from editorial makeup and hairstyling through to content creation and on-set etiquette.
At the Academy of Makeup, this course is taught inside our Diploma program, which means you’ll study alongside other career-focused students and train with professional tools, resources, and guidance.
Can This Help Me Get Into University?
Yes, some Australian universities accept Certificate IV qualifications as part of a non-ATAR application process. While entry isn’t guaranteed, the Certificate IV can support your application by showing:
- You’ve completed a formal qualification (AQF Level 4)
- You’ve developed creative and technical skills relevant to your intended field
- You’re capable of self-directed study and project work
- You’ve produced a folio of real creative work
